As a nation we’re supposed to be animal lovers. Despite our bulging rescue centres and many cruelty cases, I think we’re possibly a little more in tune with our animals than some countries, but not many people realise the extent of how in tune our animals are with US!
I work as an animal communicator, healer, horse and rider trauma consultant and empowerment coach. I am called to work with an animal because of the owner’s curiosity or concerns, due to behavioural problems or physical ailments and emotional issues. The animals can behave quite badly because they are desperate to draw attention to issues. I then frequently have a follow-on session with the owner because of something the animal has ‘flagged’ up that needs addressing. This can be emotional or physical issues that need to be healed. However these issues are not reserved to this lifetime! The animals can show me past lives where they and their owners experienced trauma, which they have now reunited to resolve. They also show me future incarnations in which they’ll continue loving relationships with their human companions. Animals are now showing me how they can facilitate a re-writing of a previous past life trauma script, with amazing almost immediate positive results for both owners and the animals. This can occur on site with the animal telepathically sending images of the past life trauma to me and their owner and then allowing them , with my guidance, to return to that trauma and change the course of events that led to the trauma and possible death of both animal and owner. This facilitates a ‘Soul retrieval’ healing fragmented parts of both animal and owner, that in their current incarnation were preventing them from being wholly healed and free to reach their potentials of empowerment. I feel that we store much of this information in our DNA and with the ‘re-programming’ of those memories, the trauma stored at that cellular level no longer exists so the necessity to be limited by fear or emotional or physical debilitation disappears with some quite dramatic results!
The first case I had where a horse taught me this technique telepathically was with a horse called Jess. Her owner Jenny had called me because her new horse Jess, seemed to object violently to any time spent with her other two horses whatsoever, but especially her other mare Vienna. If Jenny spent any time at all grooming or making a fuss of Vienna, Jess would start to go mad in her stable and start to kick and bang the door and lay her ears back looking so angry. As Jenny didn’t own the stable yard where her horses were kept, she was really worried that she would be asked to leave if Jess continued to potentially wreck her horsey home. Jenny was also concerned that Jess might sustain some injury to herself, with the violent reactions that she was displaying. Apparently Jenny was spending the major part of her time with Jess schooling and exercising her, as Vienna and Tigger, her other horses, were no longer rideable. But it seemed that it was never enough, and if Jenny should just pop into Vienna’s stable, Jess would attempt to lunge and bite Vienna if she could make contact with her over the stable door. When they were in the field however, Vienna was the dominant mare and also Jenny was told that if she wasn’t there, the mares got on fine.
I was looking forward to meeting Jess and hearing her side of what seemed to be a very intriguing case. When I arrived at the stable yard, I recognised Vienna’s lovely chestnut head straining out over her door trying to see who had arrived. We had met before when I had been called out to ask her if she wanted to be ridden anymore. Tigger was busy munching his hay and Jess lunged up to the door with her eyes on stalks, already in a state of anxiety, as to who I was, and what was I doing there? She was a beautiful piebald mare and I felt that she had huge potential to excel in her ridden career in whatever way she most enjoyed. Jenny told me that when Jess was ridden she was brilliant and generally quite well behaved, but did seem permanently anxious when out exercising. She was better in open spaces, but in confined narrow places, the mare seemed to be on permanent tenterhooks. I felt this piece of information was very significant, but gently probed Jess’s thoughts with my mind, hoping to get a better understanding of where she was coming from, emotionally. I got a sense of frustration as she whirled around the stable in a flurry of concern. She seemed unwilling to open up to me telepathically, so I patiently kept reassuring her and telling her that I was there to help, that she was safe and that I would do my utmost to resolve, whatever was troubling her.
She told me that she always tried to please and to do her best, to which Jenny agreed and verified that she was a very willing ride. However Jess was very upset that despite her best efforts in her last home, she was the one that was sold on and others kept in their home. It was as though she thought I might be coming to take her away and yet again Vienna and Tigger would be kept, and they weren’t even ridden anymore! Poor Jess was so frustrated and exasperated as to what more should she have to do to be to be valued and understood. Finally she began to show me a past life involving Jess, Jenny, Tigger and Vienna. It was as though the universe had contrived to bring them all together again, to finally resolve and heal a trauma that was still impacting on all of them.
I started to visualise a scene that appeared to be in North America, where Jenny as a man, was riding Tigger and leading two pack horses, namely Vienna and Jess, through mountainous terrain. Jess was taking up the rear and was attached to Vienna by a lead rope. As they were making their way through a very narrow passage between rocks, a huge mountain lion suddenly dropped onto Jess’s back, biting and breaking her neck. Poor Jess fell to the ground as the rope snapped. Vienna and Tigger fled in terror as Jenny struggled to control them. As she gazed back, she saw that it was futile trying to return to save Jess; she saw that the mare was dying so she continued distancing herself from the horrific attack, hoping to at least save the other horses and herself. Jess’ dying vision was of being left to die as the others fled to safety.
Before I relayed this video like visualisation, I questioned Jenny as to how she felt when she was going through the narrow place that she mentioned earlier. She had described a narrow path that had a steep overhang with trees and she said that she always felt, when riding through there, as though something might drop down on them as if in ambush. She said she knew it sounded silly but it was quite frightening without being able to explain it. I proffered an explanation, thanks to Jess. I asked Jenny how she felt as I described Jess’ awful death; I was feeling a huge weight in my heart, and Jenny said that she felt enormous guilt, sadness and grief, that she could not save Jess. We discussed other aspects in Jenny’s life where she felt she had failed and let herself and others, down. Jenny's life had not gone smoothly. I felt that there was an underlying issue of guilt wrapped up in a lack of self-worth as though she was still punishing herself for not being able to save Jess. Here was a huge opportunity to heal that entire trauma for all concerned. I asked Jenny to imagine being back in that time, feeling the rope in her hand, feeling Tigger beneath her and seeing the rocky outcrop where the mountain lion suddenly appeared above them all. Jess facilitated the re writing of their past life ‘video clip’, by showing Jenny what she looked like as a man and what colour and type the horses were as they were different from how they appeared in their current incarnation. Jenny was quite a grizzled old prospector, used to rough living and the chance to pan some gold from the unyielding terrain.
Tigger looked more like a mule and Vienna and Jess were quite chunky, stolid little bays. Jess seemed to calm suddenly and fix Jenny with a very focussed look and it seemed like she implanted the images in Jenny’s mind, so that she was able to describe their past life appearance. Once Jenny could describe herself and the horses, as Jess had shown me, I knew we were all set to re write their ‘history’! I encouraged her, with the help of Jess, to change the outcome, so that it didn’t have to end so tragically. This she managed to do easily and it seemed like a huge weight had lifted from her. This time she shot the mountain lion, before it could attack and they all rode away safe and sound. As soon as Jenny had finished, Jess immediately looked calmer and her eyes, which had been so wild, had calmed. Her ‘red alert’ mode, had completely stood down. I hoped that the impact of this would filter out into Jenny’s life and once again marvelled at the extraordinary lengths the universe, together with the help of the animals, can orchestrate such fantastic resolution and healing.
A few days later I was dining out with a friend at a local pub, and happened to bump into the owner of the yard who had listened to all that had transpired and who, I’m sure, was hoping that her stables would be left intact after my session. She reported that Jess was a changed animal, really calm, not sulking or angry, getting on really well with Vienna and Jenny. Jenny was so pleased with her progress and was beginning to appreciate how this was now helping her move forwards in her life. I was so pleased that I had been able to make a difference and that it had all been possible due to a very green eyed jealous mare called Jess!
I was recently called to see a filly, who was too young to be ridden but became very grumpy when other ridden horses left the yard. She was extremely quiet and easily handled even from birth. She told me she’d blamed herself for her owner’s death in a past life they’d shared and wanted to return to make amends and become the safe gentle horse she knew herself to be. In that previous lifetime she’d slipped down a ravine and broken her rider’s back. Her owner suffered from excruciating back ache in this life, so the horse asked me to give some healing to remove the trauma still carried there from their awful past life ordeal. I removed the negative energy trauma from the site of the owner’s pain and then magically the horse started to nuzzle the exact spot (something she’d never done before) as if checking that healing had taken place. The feedback I received was that the back pain was much better and the horse was calmer and happier. Is this just co-incidence? Maybe, but I also had a dog that described what it looked like and its name in a previous incarnation with its current owner, when she was a little girl, which the stunned owner verified! The dog had come back to look after the lady in her later life as he had once tried to do in the wartime London Blitz.
These are just a couple of many, many cases that have convinced me that our animals can travel with us on our soul journeys, helping us learn and grow through our experiences of our life lessons. Many owners confess to having had an absolute compulsion to buy their animal even if logic dictated otherwise, and inexplicable emotions can overflow without them knowing why, so it seems that on some level there is recognition and a rediscovery of the loving connection between our animal and us. I find huge comfort in the knowledge that our beloved animal companions will find us again, to continue that love. I feel that animals are our teachers and healers and that we need to start listening and learning! They are so much more than just a horse, cat or a dog-they are huge sentient beings that commit to helping and healing us, we need to realise just how honoured we are to have their help. I believe that we can all choose what guise we can incarnate as, to help us to learn the life lessons that we need to experience in each lifetime, and that we all travel in soul groups with human and animal loved ones. How wonderful that we have all the support we need in the form of our beautiful animals who never give up on us and can really be our true ‘soul mates’!
