SAGITTARIUS: 23rd November - 21st December
You’re one of the quieter signs in 2012, the large majority of you will have a comparatively simple year with no new major problems arising. The background feel of the year at large is one of both restructure and change in a way that doesn’t cause or suggest problems. There is certainly no need to watch your back or worry about any unseen opposition, and there is also no sign of any self sabotage. But a few of you, especially those of you born before the 25th November, are likely to experience various levels of uncertainty, confusion or even gullibility. Don’t let yourself become enchanted by situations that make your close friends look at you and shake their head – if you’re born at the start of Sagittarius then 2012 is probably not a good year for making objective and informed long term plans or decisions. Others of you, especially those born between November 26-30, are in for a stimulating and exciting year, with the opportunity for considerable change coming into your life in a way that will be non disruptive and potentially really innovative. If you’re one of those Saggies who are born after December 13, then at least the first half of 2012 should be a time of steady and structured self discipline in a way that doesn’t bring excitement, but does bring reliability. There’s no new authoritarian pressure or limitation being imposed upon you, you can be your own taskmaster during 2012. The challenge will be to know when to say ‘enough’, especially from June onwards as the influence of other people at the one to one level will become steadily stronger and the challenge will be to keep your boundaries between you and them clearly defined.
PLUTO isn’t affecting any of you directly during 2012.
NEPTUNE will directly challenge those of you born before November 25 in a way that suggests nebulousness and uncertainty, bringing a year of contemplation and retreat as opposed to being pro-active. Conserve energy as opposed to frittering it.
URANUS is bringing a degree of unusual opportunity to those of you born from November 26-30 in a way that suggests freedom from old circumstances and the chance to begin again in a more innovative way.
SATURN will bring a greater degree of balance and self discipline into the lives of those Saggies born after December 13, they will easily learn that it’s easier to live within their own boundaries as opposed to those of others.
JUPITER will be quiet until June when he moves into your opposite sign, bringing the influence of other people in one to one relationships sharply into focus for those of you born before December 9.
MARS will be with you from October 7 to November 17
VENUS is with you from December 16 onwards
MERCURY visits from October 29 to November 14, then December 11 – 31.
The Sagittarius new Moon is on December 13 and the full Moon is on June 4
CAPRICORN: 22nd December - 20th January
With Pluto rampaging through your sign, you can expect 2012 to be another in a long line of ongoing years of transformation and regeneration. Whilst there will always be in the background the need for caution, there is also reason for expectation and change for the favourable. If you find yourself during 2012 dealing with people who are using inappropriate or unethical ways of seeking to influence you, don’t hesitate to cut them loose. During 2012 you can deal with big problems, but the second someone gets economical with the truth is the moment when you have to withdraw your trust, and there is no middle ground here. You trust, or you don’t, and honesty always works even if you don’t like it. The first nine months of the year have an edge about them that is not entirely comfortable, but one that can be worked with by an attitude of perseverance and resolve, but at the same time the months from January to May are not that bad either, with a number of small opportunities for natural talent to come through. 2012 cannot be said to be a normal or conventional year for any of you, although it is primarily those born during December or after January 12 that are under the most pressure. The typical Capricornian attitude of heads down and keep going won’t work on its own during 2012, there needs to be a clear incentive and purpose to your actions in order to maximise possibilities, as well as an attitude of perceived ruthlessness where and when necessary. 2012 is not a year of half measures, so either get out there and make things happen or choose of your own free will to step back and wait things out for a year or so.
PLUTO is going to pass on the Sun of those of you born between December 27-30, bringing a concentrated year of compressed change with the potential for a level of intensity that can be both rebirthing and eliminating – not a year for half measures.
NEPTUNE is beginning to shine more harmoniously and intuitively towards your sign in 2012, especially to those born before 25 January, for whom the year will be more sensual and refined than those of recent times.
URANUS will bring sudden changes, for either the favourable or the disadvantageous depending on your flexibility, to many of you in 2012, but the prime influence is directed towards those born between the 26-29th December who should learn to dance.
SATURN has two effects in 2012. For those born before December 31, the time from the start of October should bring more stability and steadiness, whilst those born after 12 January can expect the first nine months of 2012 to be nose to the grindstone.
JUPITER will bring all of you the opportunity for growth, expansion or at least a good holiday between January and May in a way that is a minor reward for other challenges you are putting up with. After May he doesn’t directly affect you.
MARS passes through your sign from 17 November to 26 December
VENUS unusually, doesn’t visit you at all during 2012.
MERCURY visits from 8 – 27 January and then again on 31 December!
Capricorn full Moon is on July 3, and there isn’t a Capricorn new Moon in 2012!
AQUARIUS: 21st January - 18th February
In the background there are no new major factors emerging over the year ahead that will bring any big changes without your foreknowledge. After having tolerated and even persevered through fourteen years of confusion and doubt, there now appears to be no new clouds on the horizon, no external opposition and no new disruption. The long term influences in 2012 are a combination of opportunity and change in a way that encourages new beginnings without going to extremes. The last three months of the year can hold a sting in the tail, with the need for more focus and attention to priorities becoming apparent. The first five months of the year can also be a time of over indulgence or excess in some way. However, there are also some beneficial influences coming through in a steady and consistent way until the end of September that bring an energy of regularity and stability to many of you. Compared to recent years it’s a doddle, but just because there are no new problems doesn’t necessarily mean that you can go full speed ahead. Bearing in mind that many of you are only now exiting a long period of relative uncertainty and confusion, there’s a case for saying that 2012 is a good year for recovery and recuperation as opposed to growth, and that movement forward will be steady and regular as opposed to fast or dramatic. There’s not that much in terms of difficult attention being directed towards you in 2012, so why not use the time to totally recover from past energetic expenditure and recuperate whilst it’s fairly quiet? Not every year can be a go ahead and dynamic one, and I suspect that you’re in need of both recovery and a recharge in 2012.
PLUTO isn’t affecting any of you directly.
NEPTUNE leaves your sign for the final time in over 150 years at the end of January, so even those of you born around the February18-19 at the end of Aquarius can breather a sigh of relief from this time onwards..
URANUS is bringing a degree of unusual opportunity to those of you born from January 24th-28th, chances that should be at least recognised if not taken.
SATURN is bringing a degree of balance into the lives of those of you born after the 11th February, at least until August, although from October onwards he will challenge some of you, especially those born in January, and bring an element of examination into some of your lives.
JUPITER will test every one of you between January and May in terms of your ability to know when to stop, although from June onwards he will also bring an element of growth into your life if you’re born before the 6th February
MARS won’t influence until the end of 2012, entering your sign on the 26th December
VENUS is only with you until the 13th January.
MERCURY visits from the 27th January to the 14th February
The Aquarius new Moon is on January 23 and the full Moon is on August 22
PISCES: 19th February - 20th March
2011 was very much the year of recovery after what seems like at least five if not ten years of concentrated and compressed change, in a way that has altered things in your life forever. Now, as you approach 2012 you can look at it with a less apprehensive eye knowing that the hard times are behind you, at least as far as ninety percent of you are concerned. If there are any exceptions to this rule, it’s those born before February 23 who are well advised to take objective and impersonal opinion before committing themselves to any new life changing course of action. For some of you, it’s a year of psychological advantage, deeper insight and maturation, and for all of you there’s no sign of any sudden new disruption or chaos, no rug being pulled from underneath your feet. Added to this the fact that there’s also no sign of any new form of external brake being applied, there are no new challenging or limiting circumstances outside of your control holding you back. Indeed, for many of you there are going to be a number of chances and opportunities developing during the first five months of the year that can easily bring potential growth patterns to fruition. The period until May is the most favourable of the year for movement forward in terms of chance, whilst June through to September is seen as a time of more low key development. October onwards brings a greater stability that becomes steadily more consistent and reliable, and you can grow in ways that will be long term practical and grounded. 2012 will not be a hard year unless you’re directly under Neptune’s microscope, so use it to continue recovering and consolidate your gaining strength.
PLUTO is bringing the chance for radical transformation into the lives of those of you born between February 25 – 28, a chance that comes once in a lifetime and that say use it or lose it. Particularly strong around first ten days of March.
NEPTUNE moves properly into Pisces at the start of February for the first time in a hundred and fifty years and begins a fourteen year stay. It is primarily those of you born before February 23 who are at risk of confusion or uncertainty.
URANUS is not going to be directly affecting any of you in 2012.
SATURN will not have any significant effect on most of you until the latter three months of the year, from whence it will bring a degree of greater self discipline and structure into the lives of those born before February 28.
JUPITER will bring a chance for growth and expansion to every one of you between January and May in terms of your potential for humour, travel and fun. From June onwards, the sensible amongst you will put the brake on voluntarily.
MARS won’t directly affect you in 2012, but until the start of July he can influence your one to one situations in ways that can create a degree of impatience.
VENUS is with you from January 14 to February 8
MERCURY visits from February 14 to March 2, and March 23 to April 16.
The Pisces new Moon is on February 21and the full Moon is on August 31
Global -
The world won’t end in 2012, although for many of us it may represent the end of the world as we have known it. During 2012 the first two of at least seven squares from Uranus to Pluto start happening, in a way that will revolutionise ideas concerning individuality and personal free enterprise whilst at the same time by necessity bring a more acute and incisive edge into the cut and thrust of the evolving economic and political future. This marks the end of the corporate credit and profit culture founded the Reagan/Thatcher administration, much of the invisible money will disappear in a puff of smoke, and individuals providing they stay transparent will achieve a greater degree of autonomy than previously supposed. The Uranus/Pluto square will force us into revolutionising our ideas around personal responsibility whilst encouraging us to be more proactive in reaching out to others in the same space as ourselves.
Uranus/Pluto far outweighs everything else put together, both in 2012 and in the coming two-three years, but underlying this there are a couple of major movers and shakers and a number of interesting side developments in 2012.
The Saturn/Neptune trine from mid September to late October catches my eye as bringing a greater degree of structure into the imagination and vice versa, a time where laws can become less rigid and more common sense – and this is then followed at the end of 2012 by the start of a nine month sextile from Saturn to Pluto, suggesting the reformation of more flexible structures in the emerging new world. And of particular interest is the first two weeks of March, when Mars, Jupiter and Pluto form a Grand Trine pattern, a time where all types of phenomena can occur, but where the predominant interest is that of possessions, assets, materials, resources, money and property. For some of the little people, this can be an absolutely brilliant time.
In terms of timing, there are a few triggers. As previously indicated, the first ten days of March can be very positive if moderation and common sense is exercised as much as other more expansive functions. The new Moon conjunct Neptune on February 21 indicates a sudden spurt of dissolving in many people’s lives, and the new Moon on March 22 conjunct Uranus can also be seen as a time of new beginnings, a fresh start. All of this takes place during Mars retrograde, so I don’t expect clear results to emerge from this mixture until May/June, when Jupiter leaves Taurus and moves into Gemini, bringing a greater emphasis on clearer and newer forms of communication. The trigger time of greatest difficulty from my astrological perspective is when Mars moves into Cancer and square Uranus whilst opposing Pluto at the same time – a potentially explosive combination of the highest order. This occurs during the period from about June 21 for four weeks until July 22, and by mid August has completely gone, with new roots and foundations coming firmly into place. The full Moon on September 30 is exactly opposite Uranus, suggesting dramatic endings at some titular level, and the full Moon on December 28 opposite Pluto confirms this degree of separation from the common mass of people in some permanent way.
And by way of a teaser…. 2013 will be the real year of permanent change, not 2012. Tune in next year.
