Dear Laura, I still feel it hard to approach someone with information when I feel that the person may have a spirit who wishes to speak with them, I think one its partly to do with confidence in myself of course...but also partly not wishing to offend by opening dialogue so to speak any suggestions? - KA
 
Hi KA, Thanks for your question. It can be tough knowing that a family in spirit wants desperately to get a message to a loved one. The advise I give is this. Unless you know the person for whom the message is for very closely, do not just walk up or phone up this person and start going on about Uncle Fred who died last year. We must understand that not everyone is open to this kind of thing, medium work, and it can be upsetting to some folk.
What I suggest is telling the spirit that you would be happy to deliver their message but that they must first come to you and ask. It can be something as simple as this person saying to you. “You know I had a dream about Uncle Fred last night, do you think he wants to tell me something?” That would be your opening. Play it safe and in my opinion, never walk up to a stranger and go off about a message from a dead relative. While they may be very happy to receive one, I have had it backfire horribly for me when I was first learning. Err on the side of caution I say.

Dear Laura, When children get killed do they get taken to there family to be looked after in the spirit world or does an angel or someone special look after them?

Thanks for asking WH. The answer is both. We have a team of guides and angels as well as passed on family that are constantly with souls. We may think when we pass on from this world that we are along, but we are not. There are pets, family, guides, people from our past lives, teachers, ascended masters (like Buddha and Jesus), everyone is known to us on the Other Side.
The soul usually knows when it is meant to pass on. From what I have learned, there are variables that we choose. If X then Y, If K then L and so on. These are pre-birth and stored in soul memory. So the soul knows that there may be a chance that this will happen, (murder) to further help the world, parents, etc, they choose to sacrifice their bodies for the good of others. Strong souls do this and are absolutely protected and guided.

Dear Laura, Is it me or does anyone else struggle with names and numbers when giving readings?

Hi MH,
I am happy to see you giving readings and helping others firstly. Secondly, we are all unique. Where some mediums may be awesome at giving exact names, places of birth and so on, others of us are better at describing and feeling their physical presence, how they looked to you on earth, how they passed. Some may even get very little information except for scenes like movies that show events that may have just happened, confirming who they are to you and giving you a message about the future that you are curious about.
Do not worry about being like another medium. You cannot be. You may have some qualities and gifts that are similar but you are unique and you have special ways of reading. Do not let anyone put you off because you cannot get names. There are many other ways to confirm a spirits relationship to the client.

Dear Laura, Do we all have spirit guides? If so, how many can we have?

LP that is a great question. From my understanding, we are born with two, a protector guide and a joy guide. Joy guides are typically fae (fairies) or children in appearance, but not always. They are whimsical, silly and love to play. Our protectors do just what you think they would, they keep us safe in this world and when we astral travel.
There is no set number of guides any person can have. I have met people with two and I have met people with fifty plus! It just depends on the lessons and what we have set out to learn in this lifetime. There are many roles of guides, including but not limited to, healers, doctors, teachers, helpers, universal masters and ascended masters. We even have animal guides that also work with us for lessons.

Dear Laura, I often see repeating numbers like 11:11, 222, 555. Are these signs or messages from my guides?

Hi SL,
They can be yes. Doreen Virtue has a few books out about these numbers. Angel numbers. They break down the series of your numbers into easy messages. Repeating anything, over three times, when you have been asking for signs is communication to me. I often ask for signs and get white feathers, in a one-week period I will ask for three of them to confirm I am making the right choice. If you are seeing repeating symbols or numbers, think back to what you may have asked for in the past. Was it about a new job? Maybe about finances getting better? If you have seen a sign three times that is unusual, like numbers, feathers, coins in odd places, then accept that these are signs that everything is going to work out for the best.
