Welcome to my new Crystal page.

I would love to thank Sharon for inviting me to write this page for this wonderful ‘Silent Voices’ magazine which I am honoured to do

Firstly I will introduce myself; My name is Julie Thomas and I have had a magical journey of discovery (which will be a lifelong adventure) discovering the power and secrets of Crystals. initially attracted by their beautiful colour in my younger years, after undertaking several workshops I began to know that there was more to love then just the aesthetic look of them.

I began developing a ‘knowing’ or a ‘feel’, sensing and connecting to the crystals, perceiving their energetic wave. Later I studied the Qabalah using my crystals to enhance and compliment this work.

Whilst on a beginners tarot course with one of my Qabalah friends on the Greek island of Lefkada I was given a very special message from a lady whom I had never met previously. This was a ‘channelled’ message saying that I was to study crystals (this message lasted over an hour and foretold of other events that would shape my life). After flying home I booked on a two year crystal therapy diploma course at Hazel Raven’s School of Bio dynamics. This was a fantastic experience culminating in becoming a qualified practitioner recognised by ACHO (Affiliation of Crystal Healing Organisation). Around this time I also became a Reiki Master. I also at this time undertook a course with Mike Eastwood of Aristia where I became a practitioner of his 9 chakra healing set. My journey goes on...

Cleansing Crystals

After selecting your crystal with we must cleans them all as they can become ‘heavy’ with energies that are sometimes undesirable, they can transfer energies from person to person when they have been used for therapies, therefore cleansing is essential.
These are a few I use:

Water Cleansing - Stones that do not dissolve in water can be held under running water.

Smudging - Smudge stick cleansing, light your smudge stick and gently pass the crystals you have selected through the smoke, dispelling any unwanted energies.

Sound Cleansing - With a singing bowl, Pythagorean tuning fork, tingshas, drums, bells etc. The crystals bathe in harmonic waves, the sound releases the blocked energy.

Rice Cleansing - By simply placing crystals in a glass bowl filled with dry uncooked rice (preferably organic brown rice) the rice absorbs negative energies overnight. Make sure the rice used is thrown away, do not eat it as the energy will be reabsorbed by the person who eats it.

Earth Cleansing - Dig a small patch in your garden and bury your crystals just under the surface. Crystals love to get ‘back to nature’ within the earth were they can rejuvenate themselves. Be careful to check the acidity levels of your soil or this may damage them.

Essences and Sprays - I like to use Hazel Raven’s Angel of light (Archangel Seraphiel) essence mist and aura essence which is a simple to do just spray over crystals and surrounding area to clear stagnant energy, they create a harmonious safe healing environment. I love these as they have been carefully produced and are very easily used.

Crystal Cleansing - On an Amethyst geode, or large flat piece of Amethyst, place crystals especially the ones that are delicate or dissolve in water this will clear unwanted energies. Or use a large Carnelian as these have the ability to cleanse other stones.

Then I like to charge or energise them under a full moon or in the sunlight...
