Spiritual, Paranormal & Metaphysical Magazine

2009 also saw the release of your 1st book 'The Man who see's Dead People'. I must admit I couldn’t put the book down and read it in a day, from the public reviews I wasn’t the only one. Have you any plans to write a follow-up or another book?

My book 'The Man Who Sees Dead People' is one I had been planning for many years so to see it in print was and still is an amazing feeling for me. I am proud of my book and have to admit the reviews have been great. I think because I have been so honest about my past this has both shocked people but also made people feel that you can change your life around to make good for yourself. Nothing is impossible. I do have plans to write another book so keep your ears and eyes open, I will let you know

Life wasn’t kind to you according to some events in your book, do you feel now that life has changed for the better, meaning Tours, books, awards, family, children and a new baby due any day?

My life has been a very colourful one and one I wanted to write about in my book to show people how you can change your life and most importantly how precious life is and how we need to treasure every moment.
My life has been full of twists and turns. I have a wonderful partner and family and my children mean the world to me. The arrival of my new baby, due any day now is very exciting and I am looking forward to a great year ahead.

Your 2010 Tour kicks off on the 9th Feb at the Conquest Theatre Bromyard, Herefordshire, with tour dates up and down the country, are you excited to be back on tour?

The tour this year is extremely exciting. I have a new manger that has put together a great new tour and a new show. The new tour is called “THE MAN WHO SEES DEAD PEOPLE” and is like no other clairvoyance show out there at present. We felt there was a need to change the way mediumship was being presented on stage and so we have gone ahead and done just that in my new tour. I am visiting some new areas across the UK and am looking forward to meeting the audiences. If you get a chance come along and say hi

Do you have plans to do any workshops? If so when and where?

I have a great course this year at a beautiful retreat in South Wales called Hafan Y Coed. The course will run from Sunday 8th August to Saturday 14th. The course is a fantastic week of hard work, fun and ghost investigation. The week's course will take you to a trip to the waterfall for meditation, ghost investigation, develop your private readings and bring strengths out in platform work. There will also be a one night special of catching spirit during night vision. For details on the course go to my website http://www.joepower.co.uk

We know you answer Questions here at Spirit Voices for our readers online, are there any plans for you to write in any of the main stream magazines?

Actually I do write for Soul and Spirit magazine which started this year, so I am very pleased to be writing for both Silent Voices and Soul and Spirit magazine.

What's has been the most memorable experience in your work?

The most memorable experience for me during my work was when I was driving home from a spiritual meeting and I heard a voice telling me to drive to my sister’s house which was unusual as I was driving home and had no intention of visiting anyone. As I drove into my sister’s road a young girl ran out into the road in front of my car screaming at me to stop and telling me that her mummy was in the fire in her home and to help her. I immediately ran into the house and found the women had barricaded herself in her bedroom,
I had to break into the room and save her life. I was awarded a bravery award by the fire service and felt thank you for the spirit voice I heard that helped me.

Work and personally, what would you like from 2010?

Personally I would love my new house to be ready to move into with my partner and our children. I have bought a Victorian house which has turned into a major project!! My new baby is arriving this week and looking forward to my 19 month old son’s reaction to his new brother or sister. For my work I am looking forward to my new Theatre tour, writing my new book and my TV project.!

Thank you Joe, we at Silent voices wish you good luck and best wishes for the future
