Faerie Photos

Don't you love autumn? I adore October...my birthday month, because of the change of colours in the trees, here in England. Everything begins to turn orange, brown, gold and red and it reminds me of my favourite place to be, sitting in front of a log fire!
 
If you get the opportunity, try and get outside and walk as much as possible...whatever the weather in your part of the world. Angels can reach us more clearly when we are close to water so if you are lucky enough to live by a river; stream, pond, lake or even as I do, the sea, then do so. The Archangel Ariel works closely with nature so ask Ariel to walk besides you.
 
If you own one, take a camera with you when you walk - nature always looks different down the lense of a camera....especially a zoom lense! The Archangel Ariel also works with the faerie kingdoms too, and there is nothing more exciting than photographing fairies right? Ok so this might sound daft but give it a go. Dusk is the perfect time but make sure you know where you are and take a torch with you too (preferably take someone else with you too).
 
Find a comfortable place to sit (a fallen log or gate post is great) and then wait. As the sun starts to set, the atmosphere in the woodlands begins to change (it works just as well at sunrise or sunset). Is that a moth or a gnome? Did you spot a mouse or a fae? Was that a butterfly or a wilo the whisp? Don't forget to snap your pictures so you can check on your computer when you get home.
 
Try some variations:
 
1. What happens if you dress up for the occasion? The faeries might appreciate you wearing a little glitter for example.
 
2. How about you take a little gift for the faeries? They like cake, honey and mead in particular or a blob of cream in an empty walnut shell (remember not to damage the woodlands in any way or leave any rubbish behind you)
 
3. Light a little tea-light (safety candle) in a jam jar and watch by the light of the candle (take extreme care when using a natural flame outside in this way)
 
4. You could also play a little music to attract the faeries...maybe you have something suitable on your iphone or how about playing your own (drums and bells work well).
