By Compass Paranormal
Margam Castle is the most impressive location Compass Paranormal Events have investigated. It is nestled within a
dramatic backdrop, dark dense woods are to the rear of the Castle and beautiful ornate landscape gardens decorate
the front of the building enhancing the ambience of this truly striking piece of Gothic architecture, which after many
years of disrepair is now being restored.
This was Compass Paranormal Events first ever visit to this magnificent Castle. All The team and our guests were
truly amazed to be able to spend the night investigating this location and all of the rooms and corridors, of this once
most splendid family home, steeped in mystery and intrigue. The Castle is staffed 24 hours a day most of whom have
bore witness to some truly terrifying ghostly encounters and our guide for the Castle had his own stories to tell which
he shared with us at the end of a truly amazing evening. This enhancing our own Paranormal experiences of the night.
As daylight faded and the evening shadows began to cast the Castle into darkness, the location became even more dramatic. The woods resonated their eerie noises of the night, the Castle now framed by the evening sky where the resident bats of the Castles towers flew around enhancing the dramatic atmosphere of the location, making one feel as though they were in a scene from a Scary film, enhancing the reported fact that the Castle and surrounding grounds is a haven of Psychic Energy.
The scene was now set for our ghostly vigils, and the team and quests were certainly not disappointed by their endeavours to communicate with the many spirits who still roam this majestic Castle.
Watch this short video we recorded on the night to witness one vigil and the spine chilling events.

Dare you join us on our return to Margam Castle 1st October 2010.
WOODCHESTER MANSION - 19th June 2010.
The approach to the mansion is a long winding drive on a very narrow track encased by dense woods on either side
adding to the suspense as to what lies at the end. One is certainly not disappointed at the truly magnificent Gothic
Mansion once it comes into sight.
As the guests and team stepped in through the front door we found ourselves suddenly transported back to the
late 1800’s, standing amidst what is effectively a Victorian building site. We were astounded by the amazing site of
fireplaces suspended in mid air, doorways leading nowhere and the strange undulating floor which is in fact the
vaulted ceiling of the cellar below, your sense being heightened as to why it is that the mansion was never finished.
All this enhanced by the colony of resident Bats which freely fly around the inside and outside this Gothic mansion.
Thus giving our medium Barrie John a fright on entering one of the upstairs rooms.
GALLERIES OF JUSTICE - 26th June 2010.
The Galleries of Justice has a long history of powerful emotions - anger, despair, betrayal, hopelessness, terrible
suffering and, of course, executions. It is not surprising that this rich atmosphere should have left its mark, so that the
buildings today abound with reported ghostly encounters.
The Galleries of Justice Museum is based at Nottingham’s Grade II* listed Shire Hall in the heart of the city’s historic
Lace Market. There has been a court on the site since at least 1375 and a prison since at least 1449, although recent
investigation has unearthed what appears to be a much older dungeon that has been sealed for 100’s of years.
Over the centuries, many thousands of people have entered the building with a sense of dread for their future.
The very steps to the entrance were the site of many public executions, and below the courtrooms, in the exercise yard,
the bodies of the condemned were laid to rest.
Dare you join us at The Galleries of Justice on 23rd October 2010.
I look forward to meeting you at one of our events . Denise Mott. Compass Paranormal Events (c)
