Hi Colin, Thank you for doing this interview for Silent voices

You have written a many wonderful books, have you any plans this year to release any more books in 2011?

Well 2010 has seen the release of two books, "by your side " and the re-print of "Inspired of Spirit" so I am currently working on notes for my Autobiography which I plan to be released in 2012 to mark my 50th Birthday. I have been asked for several years to write my autobiography but I have always had strong feelings that there is no point in writing such a book until you have reached a point in your life to write such a book! it amuses me when I go into book stores and see autobiographies of young celebrity at 18 what life have they had ?
Also i think I can now be objective about my life now, so it feels the right time to put my life down in words.

Your 2010 UK tour was extremely busy, are you touring the UK In 2011 and if so who with?

The tour for 2011 is all but in place now and the details will be on my website soon, there will be the usual UK tour but I have cut down the number of venues this year having been touring now for nearly 10 years doing anything up to 140 dates a year I feel its time to slow down just a little bit! but I am also going back to Norway and probably back to New Zealand and Australia and we have had offers to tour Israel and South Africa as well .
My 2011 tour will be a solo tour but if I do any joint work at all it it will be with Tracy (TJ) Higgs I have worked with many mediums in the past but Tracy remains the easiest and best to do joint projects with.

You also donate a lot of your time to charities, Dec 5th you are closing your 2010 tour with a big fundraising event at the Apollo London, for Help for Heroes, Royal British Legion & Army Widows association, Can you tell us more about this event?

Yes thank you for asking about this our BIG project this year is the "A CHRISTMAS MESSAGE" show at the Victoria Apollo on 5th December, we want to make this the biggest mediumship event of the year to raise funds for these three very important charities, we have set a target of £30,000.00 but we need the public support to do this ... So we are asking people to book tickets NOW and to organise coach trips and groups to attend.
Usually when High profile mediums appear at this venue tickets are between £80.00 and £120! Tracy and I have kept the ticket price down to £35.00 and £45.00 ticket by covering all the costs ourselves and our crew are donating their wages for the night as well. Although you are very busy you also take the time to interact via facebook and at events with you fans, is this important to you as you genuinely seem to enjoy doing so?

I love interacting with the public either in person or via facebook, I wish more high profile people would remember the importance of the public who support them.

How did you know that you were a medium, and did you have any experiences when you was a child?

I don't remember a time when i did not experience Spirits, I went into my first development circle when I was 15 and started to demonstrate at 17, the realisation of what this gift meant probably happened when I was 10 and I started to receive communication from my grandfather.

I know you practice Physical mediumship, can you tell me more about this and also where people can learn about it?

I really do not have much to do with this side of mediumship anymore, I still conduct the occasional independent direct voice seance at Ramsbergsgardens College in Sweden, but to be honest I found that I became disenchanted with the people who where attracted to these types of seances that they came for the spectacle and not the communication! I now only conduct these seances for the genuinely interested and those in genuine need.. I will be running a seminar on the subject at the college in Sweden in 2011

What advice would you give to a fledgling medium?

Be patient! and develop well before going public, also do some counsellor training as well. Be prepared to be criticised and if your tutor or circle leader can not demonstrate themselves what they are teaching your with the wrong tutor!

Being a Medium you talk to those who have crossed over and spirits. Do you remember ever passing on a message that was intense and emotional for you personally?

I can not speak for any other medium, but it is my belief that you should allow yourself to emotionally feel every message - how can you be effective in your delivery if you do not feel the emotion of the message!

People talk about Spiritual Healing, can you tell me your view on Spiritual Healing and can it assist others?

I have been a registered spiritual healer for over 18 years and am the patron of the World Federation of healers and still run the occasional healing clinic in Sweden when I teach there. Healing is most defiantly a beneficial complimentary therapy and should be considered by anyone who is seeking em-betterment.

Do you believe that sending out positive thoughts, can help to aid negativity and also heal?

That's not really how positive thinking works! One of the principle dictates of positive thinking is " you can change nothing except yourself " by ensuring that you think and act in life positively you lead by example! Undoubtedly by living by a code of positive thinking this ensures you are healthy in mind body and spirit. The challenge is getting this across to people, society programs the population to be defeatist, we are bombarded with doom and gloom, I would say do not believe the spin! we are in charge of our own destiny.

Mediums talk about meditation, and altered states of awareness. Do you meditate and can you let me know what you do when you are to busy to meditate?

Meditation I am sure benefits some people but as a tool for the development of awareness I think its as much use as a chocolate tea pot! You do not need to meditate to be aware you have senses that are more than capable of giving you all the impute you need. I find that guided meditations are more akin to flights of fantasy than spiritual reality.
If you need a quiet time it should be one of contemplation not meditation. I have never understood why people feel the need to be guided or lead? We are born into this world with a functioning mind that can process information, thought and feeling and we should master those faculties by our own volition! Spirit guides are not there to make our life choices for us they are companions who will advice us - but we have to make the decisions

Why do you think that mediums/psychics don’t work more with counsellors/psychologists? The aim to support/advise and enable an individual to move forward in their lives is the same, it’s just the path that is a little different?

It is arrogant and foolish for mediums to believe that they can provide all the support and advice the grieving need, we provide the answer for some people not all - a good medium should know when to advice people to seek psychiatric help or the support of a counsellor

Can you tell me your thoughts on Grounding and Protection and do you do it?

Again I can not help but feel much of this talk of grounding and protection is hogwash, what exactly are you asking for protection from? If you assume that something negative has more power than your will to do good then your vulnerable all the time! I refuse to accept that anything in life or afterlife that maybe negative is greater in power than the desire to do good - that is all the protection I need. As for grounding again I go back to my assertion that if you are striving for spiritual truth not fantasy you are grounded.

Have you planned any workshops for 2011, if so have you any details to share with us?
 
Yes I have a number of seminars and workshops arranged for UK, Sweden and Norway in 2011 and the details are or will be on my website very soon.

You have travelled to many places world wide with your work, what place in the world have you enjoyed the most that left a lasting impression on you?

The joy of travelling the UK never leaves me - we do live in a beautiful country :-) but I also enjoyed Brazil and New Zealand and Norway and Sweden
Spiritualism has gained much publicity and far more acceptance over the last few years. A lot of this has been through an increase in media programs, publications and talented people like yourself. In your view what would you say are the positives and negatives of the increased media exposure to

Spiritualism in general, and do you think the media portray the correct message and knowledge?

The positive side is that people are more willing to talk about their interest in the subject, the down side is that the sceptics still get the biggest say! But to be honest many spiritualists do not do themselves any favours when they do get a public platform to speak, They came across as weird and cranky! I do wish at times they would think before they speak and try to give articulate and intelligent response to questioning, it is important to remember the media will distort and misrepresent anything they wish to ridicule and what believe is still something they wish to ridicule - if your going to play cards with the devil make sure you have the winning hand!

Do you ever get time for rest and relaxation and what do you do when you relaxing from work?

Work is my life! and when at home with 5 dogs there is not a lot of time for rest and relaxation -
I always have to be doing something, life can not be wasted :-)

Work and personally, what would you like for the future ?

I live for now that way the future will take care of itself :-)
