Being a medium isn’t always an easy road to follow, and we don’t confess to hold all the answers nor be able to solve your problems, but being a medium does hold some interesting pathways, please do read on……

I remember being a child and having a knowing that there was something else or another world somewhere. I was always fascinated by stories of the afterlife, or stories of near death experiences. I have read many books about people passing over to the light and then being told that it isn’t their time. This isn’t something that I have experience of myself, but speaking to people who have returned from the light, it truly does hold some surprises. Why would spirit want us to be so close to death, but then send the loved ones back when they have reached the other side? What would they want a person to understand or learn from this passing?

I always say that to be a medium you must have the experience of life, you have to understand how you would feel if you had lost your loved one, and what would you feel and sense, what information could you speak to a bereaved person about? Would they truly accept that you have empathy with them?

In my life, I have lost some very close loved ones. People who have been in my life for many reasons and who have left their trade mark on my life and heart. Loved ones that I will never forget, this is what gives me that compassion with a bereaved person who comes to see me. I know and understand how I feel, however we must remember that we never know what a person is truly feeling deep down inside.

How many times have you spoken to someone who has lost a loved one, and said “I know how you feel” or “I understand you pain”, do we really know and feel there pain? I don’t feel that we do.

Being a medium and giving messages to people can sometimes be very difficult, we have to be able to feel that pain and courage that they are showing to enable them to go forward and to allow them to continue there lives.

Over the past years I have been asked to work with people who have terminal illnesses, this really does touch my heart greatly, especially with losing some very close relatives due to terminal illness. People just find comfort in being able to talk to a medium about what they fear about the spirit world and what will happen to them once they have passed. We as mediums can only pass on information which has been given to us by the spirit world, spirit have talked to me about their pain being taken away once they pass over, it’s almost like an instant recovery. Spirit always tells us that their loved ones are waiting for them to arrive, and to help and support them, but then why wouldn’t they be? I am sure that we would all do the same if it we were in spirit and our loved ones arrived.

It has always been believed by some mediums that loved ones cant communicate from the spirit world for a set period in time (6 months, 12 months etc), I have in my readings manage to bring people back within hours, days and weeks of them passing, I even have first hand experience of this when my own mother passed into the spirit world, as she returned within 24 hrs of her passing. This is always the last thing you expect to happen; you always think that it won’t happen to you or that your loved ones will be with you forever. I was totally shocked and broken hearted to put it in simple terms, and I know that you can understand this too.

When I was a child I was always afraid of spirit, asking why do you want to contact me and what do you want me to do? I never did get the answer from spirit, well not until much later in my life, it became clear that my role was to help others and always has been.

Over this Christmas 2009, I lost a lady I was helping who had terminal cancer, she was scared of leaving her family, and she was scared of what laid ahead. I had worked with her for some 3 months, this was a lady whom I felt had so much to give and yet so little time to do. She wanted so much to ensure that her family would be happy and that they would be fine.

This isn’t the first person I have helped over years, I always help out were I can. We have supported many charities over the years and have given donations to them to support there causes. I have always wanted to use my abilities to help others, and to also ensure that people understand my role as medium; my role is to help others.

Sometimes as mediums we still interpret things incorrectly; I always say people need to work with me to ensure that we can get as much information as we can. I don’t ask for people to give me the information, I just say that the more we work together the better the information and reading will be.

As I said earlier, we do not know all the answers and we can’t, as this is YOUR pathway and not ours. You must investigate all the information you are given by a medium and you have to speak to your family and friends to find those ‘missing’ links.

I would never say anything to anyone that didn’t feel right, and I would never want to leave the sitter in a confused state with a reading. This is why we must be clear about what information we get, but you as the sitters must also be clear what you can and can’t understand.

I love carrying out readings for people and I work with the spirit world with a great passion. Sometimes when people ask me questions, they don’t always get the answer that they expected. You must always be cautious what questions you ask; make sure that you are ready for the answer that you are to be given.

Who will be waiting for me when I get to the other side?
From my experience there is always a loved one waiting for you, this doesn’t always have to a parent, it could be a grand parent or another member if the family even friends could be waiting for you.

Do guides communicate during your sleep state?
All guides and spirits will commune during your sleep state, this is the time when you have no barriers and you wont stop them talking to you.

Do spirits get stuck on the earth plane?
Sometimes when spirits have left situations unfinished or they want to ensure that there families are ok, they will remain on earth. When a person dies suddenly, they can continue to live a ‘normal’ life, until they realise that they have passed over.

Are all Psychics Mediums etc?
Not all Psychics are Mediums, all Psychics will be able to tune into a gut feeling, and they will know things about you that are read from your Aura or Energy Field. A Medium will speak about your loved ones and the afterlife etc, they will give you proof of survival and also evidence.

Why do spirits haunt the same locations?
Spirits will ‘haunt’ or visit the last locations that they knew or somewhere that is very specific for them. Spirit can also travel over seas etc, so don’t worry they will always find you!

Can a spirit decide whether to come back or not? Also if they can choose to come back, can they visit anywhere they wish, even if they never visited it as a human?
We all have a choice, if we don’t want to be somewhere then we wont, spirit are just the same, they will follow you and also go to places that they wanted to visit when they where on the earth plane.

If spirit guides speak to you does that make you a potential medium or just spiritual being?
We all have a gut feeling; it doesn’t mean that we are all mediums. It would really depend on how your guide talks to you and how they give you information. There is a possibility that if they are giving you information then you might be a potential medium. We are all Spiritual beings life a psychical life and having an experience.
