ARIES: 21st March - 20th April
If you compare where you are now to where you were at the start of 201, you’ll see that in many ways you are a very different person. There’s been a great deal of change, either willingly or imposed, and that level of change is going to continue into 2013, it’s just that the way that you manage it will hopefully be more in tune with your long term goals. Some of you – primarily those born at the end of March and the start of April – may experience 2013 as a year of both sudden and even dramatic change on the one hand, laced with independence and personal freedom on the other. And all Aries will continue to experience the element of anticipation and excitement that has pervaded over recent times. Sometimes it’s better to try and fail than not try at all, on the grounds that you learn better by direct experience than you do by being taught. It’s time to live up to your reputation for being assertive but without being overly so. It’s not that you’re going to have an especially challenging year – there are no major new long term blockages coming in for most of you – but 2013 is not particularly safe, in that you’re not going to be able to predict outcomes or make established plans. It’s a bit of a rough and tumble year, where you may get metaphorically knocked about a bit, but at the same time you’re really going to know that you’re alive. Quiet it won't be, so don’t expect a steady or stable routine existence during 2013. Change can be disruptive and upsetting if you’re set in your ways – it can also be liberating and exciting, sometimes instead of the former, other times alongside. Don’t plan on a quiet year...
Pluto will be having its way with you in certain areas over 2013, especially you’re born in the last three days of March or 1st April, in which case be careful whom you completely trust... There can be things going on ‘in the undergrowth’, so ensure everything and everyone you deal with is done so transparently and accountably.
Neptune isn’t directly affecting the sun sign positions of Aries during 2013
Uranus will bring its own unique form of revolution into the lives of those of you born from the 29th March to 2nd April in a way that doesn’t do half measures. Best advice here is to keep your roller-skates oiled, grease the surfboard and take your chances as and when they happen. It’s going to be a rock n’ roll year.
Saturn won’t challenge your lives individually during 2013, at least not in terms of individuality.
Jupiter is a mixed bag. Form the end of February through to the end of June it will bring the opportunity for growth and expansion into the lives of all of those born after 26th March, but from July onwards those of you born before the 11th April are best advised to look after the pennies, then the pounds will look after themselves.
Mars enters its homeland on 12th March, and leaves on the 20th April. Action time
Venus enters Aries on the 22nd March and leaves 15th April
Mercury rushes through Aries from 14 April to 1st May
Sun enters Aries (equinox) on 20th March at 11.02 GMT, and leaves 19th April at 22.03
New Moon is on 10th April, and Full Moon on 18th October
TAURUS: 21st April - 21st May
This is going to be one of the saner years of recent times, in that there are no new major issues arising that are going to cause drama, crisis or trauma. Certainly you can expect a relatively calm year in terms of having no sudden change, no rugs being yanked from underneath your feet. And in the background there are a number of low level but healthy energies that are bringing a greater degree of integratedness. There’s a sense of steady growth and expansion at the psychological level which will bring a growing respect in the eyes of others, as well as an underlying swell of emotional consistency implying a stable year when it comes to your feelings. It is not so much the big picture as more the medium term influences that are likely to bring a degree of challenge into some of your lives, primarily due to the influence of Saturn working from your opposite sign of Scorpio. You can be sure that a fair proportion of you will have to go through a period of becoming more selective, or even ruthless, as the year evolves and the choices in front of you become more clearly defined and priorities establish themselves in front of you. And some of you will find that the second half of the year holds a number of opportunities and chances for real growth, especially in areas of localised communications and day by day movements. Taurus prides itself on its consistency and stability, and there’s no sign of this being threatened significantly during 2013. But if there is a problem, it may well be that the famed Taurean capacity for stubbornness and inflexibility comes to the fore. Without change, entropy occurs. Most chances will work out in 2013 – just make sure you take them.
Pluto is bringing an energy of positive transformation into the lives of those of you born 29th/30th/1st in a way that is understated in the short term but profound in the long term
Neptune will bring a greater degree of refinement, subtlety and even spirituality into the lives of those of you born 22nd to the 25th, if you let it.
Uranus isn’t touching you in 2013 – be grateful!
Saturn is in your opposite sign all year, and will have a noticeably challenging effect until August in the lives of those of you born 25th April through to 1st May, and then after August he’s going to be asking difficult questions to those of you born 2nd – 11th May. No short cuts here, just perseverant hard work.
Jupiter won’t affect you until the second half of the year, and even then favourably, with all of you noticing a better sense of communicative quality as the year evolves and some of you – primarily those born 1st to the 11th of May – will experience this as a really growthful time
Mars visits from the 20th April (very important day!) to the 30th May
Venus comes home to Taurus from the 15th April to 9th May
Mercury blitzes through your sign at the speed of light, staying with you for only two weeks from the 1st to the 15th May.
Sun enters Taurus on the 19th April at 22.03 GMT, and leaves on the 20th May at 21.09 GMT
New Moon (partial solar eclipse) is on 10th May, and Full Moon on 17th November
GEMINI: 22nd May - 21st June
What you’re not seeing in 2013 is any large scale or long term opposition, blockage or other form of challenge that’s going to stand in your way, but that doesn’t mean that it’s going to be an easy year – it’s just that there will be no big daddy figure standing over you with a stick, you’re going to have to both define and live by your own boundaries as opposed to those imposed on you by others. And this will be no mean feat, especially in the first half of the year. Some of you may find the period from the start of March through to the end of June a time where the pace of life accelerates in a way that hasn’t been seen since the crazy days of 2001, and a few of you – primarily those born in May – will find that there can also be inherent in these months a lack of energy, almost a fatigue that has no rational basis – just a profound sense of world weariness. And then of course there is Jupiter – accelerating through your sign until the very end of June, when it moves on. Be sure that all of you are going to have a number of direct challenges and opportunities at the same time during the second quarter of the year, and if you’re wise enough to take quality over quantity every time then you’re going to come out OK. Just remember that Jupiter is a planet comprised primarily of hot air, and although he is the growth bringer, he also regularly promises far more than he delivers. So take the top ten percent and then quit whilst you’re ahead... And then – all of a sudden – from July onwards, it’s as though everything slows down and you get the chance to breathe again.
Pluto isn’t directly affecting Gemini in any significant way during 2013, at least not in ways that challenge sense of self.
Neptune brings an uncertain and somewhat nebulous influence into the lives of those of you born 23rd – 26th May, where be an element of releasing and dissolving may become steadily apparent. If you’re born on these days, it’s best not to make long term committed plans because things change...
Uranus is generally helping all of you, but those born 29th May through to 2nd June are under particularly good influences. But as with everything Uranian, the bringing of chances also brings an obligation to take them, or run the real risk of getting stuck for a long time to come...
Saturn won’t directly affect any of you during 2013
Jupiter remains in Gemini until the end of June. Until mid February, this is bringing a kind of fused stasis, where little if anything happens. Then things start suddenly speeding up, suggesting March-June as a time of rapid development, real opportunity and the chance also to go way over the top, so take the top twenty percent and ditch the rest. From July onwards, the pace of life significantly drops and you can breathe again.
Mars enters Gemini on the 31st May, and leaves on the 13th July. Best six week period of the year for getting results.
Venus enters Gemini on the 9th May, and leaves on the 3rd June.
Mercury speeds through your sign from 15th – 31st May
Sun enters Gemini on 20th May at 21.09 GMT, and leaves of 21st June at 05.04
New Moon is on June 8th, and Gemini Full Moon on 17th December
CANCER: 22nd June - 22nd July
2013 is going to be one of those years that you will remember for years to come. But the reasons for remembering it are negotiable... The first half of the year is a continuation of recent times, in terms of living within a bubble or feeling strangely disassociated from the world around you yet at the same time living under incredible pressure. On the one hand, it’s been as though everybody has used you as their dumping ground, taking their grief and problems out on you. Alternatively, this behaviour can be seen as an inverse compliment because other people can be seeing you as someone strong enough for them to dump on without you taking it too personally. And to an extent, the first half of 2013 will be much of the same, only becoming both more specific in emphasis and more intense at the same time. And then, at the very end of June, Jupiter moves into your sign to stay for a year, and everything changes gear. The second half of the year will have a far greater degree of direct action about it, the pace of life will pick up significantly and you’ll start to feel as though you’re getting your ‘mojo’ back. However, as with everything Jupiterian, there are things to watch out for. Being comprised of hot gassy air, Jupiter does tend to promise more that he can deliver, exaggerate or in others go larger than life. The challenge here from July onwards is to be wise enough to know when to quit, when to say ‘I’ll stop here I’ve had enough’. Cream always rises to the top, and if you take quality over quantity, you’ll find the second half of 2013 can be the best time for personal growth since 2001.
Pluto will directly challenge those of you (me included!) born from 30th June to 3rd July in ways that aren’t really negotiable. Situations are going to become increasingly black and white, and there may be a need for an element of ruthlessness. Key word = transformation, either willing or forced.
Neptune works well for those of you born 24th – 27th June in ways that create a more gentle and aesthetic ambience in your lives.
Uranus is going to force those of you born 29th June to 4th July to allow change into your lives, hopefully willingly as opposed to it becoming disruptive or too unpredictable. What these people won’t be able to do is stay the same...
Saturn will bring a greater degree of consistency and regularity into the lives of those born from 26th June to 3rd July until August, after which his structured energy turns to those born 4th -12th July.
Jupiter is quiet until the second half of the year, but he more than makes up for it from July onwards when he bursts into your sign, directly affecting those of you born before the 12th July in ways that can only be seen as favourable – it could be the best time since 2001 for growth and expansion as long as past lessons concerning moderation are remembered. Quality not quantity.
Mars enters Cancer on 13th July and leaves on 28th August.
Venus briefly visits from 3rd – 27th June
Mercury does its retrograde thing and takes its time in Cancer, entering on 31st May and leaving on 8th August, during which time information will change structure...
Sun enters Cancer (solstice) on 21st June at 05.04, and leaves on July 22nd at 15.56
New Moon is on July 8th, and there is no Cancer Full Moon in 2013!
