What psychic gifts do you possess?

I work with spirit mainly with Mental Mediumship, using different methods and I work on a psychic vibration using different tools as well as my own natural psychic abilities.

Which of the psychic senses do you feel are the most valuable to you personally, clairaudient etc?

I work mainly using mental mediumship using clairsentient, clairvoyance and clairknowing. There are none that are more valuable than the others as they are all good sources of evidence.

Have you always been aware and accepting of your gift and how old were you when you realised what was happening to you?

I now know that I was in touch with my psychic abilities since I was six as I told everyone that I had a baby sister called Wendy which was odd to others as everyone knew I only had one sister and she is older than me, however I was adopted when I was 3 years old and I found out when I was around 28 years old that I do in fact have a biological sister named Wendy who is roughly 5 years younger than myself. I have been aware of and sensed spirit beings since around about 9 years old. At a young age I did not really know what was happening and I never fully understood it. It was when I was into my 20’s when things started to fall into place and I realised what was actually happening within my childhood and a lot of my behaviours when I was younger started to make sense to me.

How did you first discover you were a medium and what training did you do?

Well obviously when I was younger I never understood what was happening and no one had said anything to me about mediumship at that age. I have been investigating the paranormal since I was around 20 years old and as the years went on I met like-minded people to investigate with. It was on investigations that I could hear, sense and see spirit and it was then I knew I was being directed into mediumship and other people on investigations knew with info I was giving out that I had the abilities to become a Medium. I met a very experienced Medium / Spiritualist Minister, Rev Richard Stibbles from Perth, Scotland on an investigation and it was himself that said that I had a good gift however it was not controlled and I didn’t understand how to use it correctly to its full potential. So then Richard invited me into his mediumship development circle, which was very much like a college course as it was very in depth, with many hand outs, practical work, theory work, exams and it covered many aspects of mediumship. I would like to add that I am very grateful to Richard for all his hard work put into my development and I feel he has been a great influence within my spirit work.

When did you first come into contact with Spiritualism and how?

When I joined the development circle and started to learn more about different beliefs within Spiritualism and how to bring Spiritualism within your life.

Why do you think spirit communicate in so many different ways to different people, i.e.; - smell, sound, music, touch etc would it not be easier just to speak. 

Spirit try to bring forward the best means of evidence for us in whatever form they feel needed, so if a spirit had a certain smell on the earth plane, then they will bring forward a smell for example a perfume / aftershave worn by spirit on the earth plane which can then bring the spirit’s identity for evidence when given in a reading. Not every spirit has the energy to just speak and some prefer to bring other senses to bring forward such evidence required. Also not everyone can hear spirit so it would be useless a spirit trying to speak to someone on the earth plane that can’t hear them. On investigations spirit will usually use ‘percussion’ which is rapping’s and tapping’s to communicate which when controlled can give great evidence and results.

You are a trance medium; can you explain what this is and what happens when you’re in a trance?

I wouldn’t say I am a fully developed trance medium as I am still developing this aspect of mediumship. However I do practice trance mediumship within a few investigation events to bring something new to experiment with for the groups I work with. Trance is an altered state of consciousness where spirit uses the medium as an instrument to communicate. There are different levels of this type of communication which in one state the medium is aware of what is being said by spirit and the other the medium is not aware of what is being said by spirit. I go into a relaxed dream like state of consciousness which takes me into the first stage of trance ( light trance ) then allowing myself to go deeper into the next stage of trance (medium trance), medium trance is where all trance mediums should be when practicing trance mediumship correctly. Within medium trance state spirit may bring forward and adapt the accent spoken, which may resemble of how they spoke when on the earth plane.

What is the difference between channelling and trance?

Conscious channelling is where the channel has control of what is being said and trance mediumship is where spirit uses the medium as an instrument and the medium is not usually aware of what is being said.

What do you feel about full trance? Is it advisable? Is it safe? Does it affect health wise?

I feel trance mediumship can bring good evidence from the spirit world when done correctly. It is not advisable to attempt trance without any form of training and it is safe when the medium has had training and conducts it within a controlled environment. It can affect your health if you’re abruptly taken out of a trance state through fright or shock.

If you could communicate with anyone, who would it be and why?

It would have to be my Mum, as I have only really had the sensation of her arms around me. Not many mediums have much communication with their loved ones as our spirit family know our true and inner feelings which they can tell if communication would be upsetting to us. Why? Well I love my Mum very much and would love to hear her intact on the spirit world.

Being a Medium you talk to those who have crossed over and spirits. Do you remember ever pasting on a message that was intense and emotional for you personally?

I did give a message to someone while on an investigation recently and the spirit’s energy was very loving and they made me aware of the urgency of the message. When delivering the message it was very emotional for the person receiving the message and the spirit who passed their emotions through my body making me feel overwhelmed with love and affection. It did in fact bring a tear to my eyes as it was such a loving message within such a positive light.

In your experience, do all spirits return to a place of love and light? Have you encountered spirits that seemed to inhabit a place of alienation and/or darkness?

Well there are spirits that are grounded within buildings or specific areas as they have not crossed over to the first plane within the spirit world for their own reasons and then there are spirits who reside within the spirit planes who are on visitation within buildings. In my experience, spirits on visitation return to their own origin of love and grounded spirits remain within the buildings they resided within.
Within the Niddry Street Vaults in Edinburgh there are a few powerful energies that reside there, they bring a darker energy and do not like being investigated.

What is your belief system about karma and reincarnation?

Karma - If you act negatively towards others, then negativity comes back to you. If you act positively towards others, then positivity comes back to you.
Reincarnation – I belief if you have not fully understood life or if you wish to learn more about life and life emotions, then your given the opportunity to come back to fulfil your needs.
To what do you put the great upsurge of awareness down to in particular these last years?
I feel its media attention with more publicity via TV programmes such as Medium, Ghost whisperer, Ghost Hunters and Most Haunted which has opened people’s minds to the possibility of spiritual communication and the spirit world. Also with more spiritual churches being opened to the public and more mediums / psychics being widely available for private readings.

What aspect of Paranormal Investigation do particularly enjoy?

Firstly meeting and interacting with new people on investigations and working with different teams within the UK.
I have been working on the development within paranormal experimentation for many years. I have adapted many original experiments and have created new ones which leads me to my recent experiment creation, The Spirit Vortex which has been developed and designed by myself to possibly manifest spirit in front of the naked eye.

You’re on Psychic TV, can you tell us a little bit about Psychic TV

Psychic TV, now rebranded as Psychic Today which is viewed on SKY TV channel 886, freesat and freeview and online at www.psychictoday.com. An interactive Psychic TV show that has been on our screens for 8 years and is now the top Psychic Interactive TV show in Europe. In fact it was the shows birthday on the 18th of April. Psychic Today is dedicated to the viewers to give them loving guidance with their life journey 7 days a week and it’s where the viewers can become interactive with the show by sending in their questions to the psychics via text, voice mail or by calling into the studio for a private one to one reading. Psychic TV not only has TV Psychics in the studio, there is also a Psychic Today Home Team who work from their own homes doing readings for the public.
When I was offered the opportunity to work on Sky TV’s Psychic Today, I welcomed it with open arms, as I knew I could help more and more people Nationally and Internationally which is what we do this line of work for, to bring positive spiritual guidance within people’s lives.

Probably Down to earth, realistic, friendly and very energetic.

Work and personally, what would you like for the future?

Well work – To be able to reach out to more lovely souls worldwide, continue & expand with TV work, possibly do a few theatre shows and I would welcome any more opportunities if they were to come my way within different aspects of mediumship & the paranormal.
